The Apartments
These two rooms were once the old cellars of this grand old lady — and I say that not out of sentiment, but because she’s truly ancient, structurally speaking. Both open onto the inner courtyard and are carved directly into the hillside, which not only sounds poetically geological, but also gives them a naturally cool temperature. Back in the day, they were used to store salami, cheese wheels, demijohns, and anything else that needed to stay cool. Now, we keep guests here — with the same care and (hopefully) a bit more comfort.
Il Piccolo
A massive stone wall is the undisputed star of the apartment — a silent witness to a time long gone. The living area flows seamlessly into the main bedroom, enhanced by a charming barrel-vaulted ceiling. An old marble-framed doorway leads to the raised kitchen; to the left, a spacious walk-in wardrobe opens up, while to the right, the bathroom features a generous shower complete with a built-in bench — perfect for moments of pure relaxation, preferably shared.
Size 42 sqm. Maximum capacity: 4 guests + crib. Bed linen, towels, and daily cleaning service are included. Fully equipped kitchen with pots, dishes, and utensils.
A welcome pack is always provided, complete with all the ingredients needed to prepare a traditional Italian dish — along with the essentials: tea, coffee, salt, pepper, olive oil, and vinegar.
Il Grande
To access this apartment, you pass through a striking industrial-style doorway that opens directly into the living area, crowned by a ceiling of irregular cross vaults. The original flooring, a generous patchwork of local marble, tells stories of the past and anchors the space in the rich tradition of the region. Soft, gentle light filters through what feel like actual portals, leading into the sleeping area. From there, crossing the original wooden door—once the entrance to a hay storage room—you step into the modern bathroom, refined with elegant niches that discreetly highlight small treasures.
